Here you can access a complete listing of all the WebRings
that the Moniteau Saddle Club either belongs to or has a pending application for
acceptance.
For the most part, these are of an equestrian
nature in one form
or another, and there should be a little something of interest for everyone to
enjoy, regardless of preference in breed or discipline. A few are
Missouri related.
Please view the complete list and have some fun
surfing through the many great sites within these WebRings.
In case you can't tell, I LOVE
WEBRINGS! It is a great way to visit new places on the web, to
learn new things, and to meet great horse people from all over who share
in the same love for horses.
Moniteau Saddle Club members are encouraged to
browse through the many webrings and take a few moments to visit some of
the sites. While you are there, be sure and sign the guestbook and
say "Howdy" from all of us at the Moniteau Saddle Club.
This is a great way for the club to invite other members of these
webrings to come and visit our little place here on the web.
If you are unfamiliar with webrings, you should
know that as you surf through the ring from one site to the next, the
first page of the site will bring you to a page much like this
one. It is the webring page, or a link page, and is not the main
homepage. You may have to search around a bit to find the homepage
where you will find more content besides the webrings to which the site
belongs.
What exactly is a WebRing you might ask?
Is it
contagious? Is there a cure?
Well, for some WebRing addicts, it can be contagious and
there is no known cure
But never fear, they do have a great deal
of benefit.
So what is a WebRing?
"WebRing is one of the best ways to find
great web sites, and an even better way for small to medium web sites to
increase their own traffic, share ideas with peers and participate in topical
communities for FREE.
Web sites with similar content are grouped together in "Rings" with
each site linked to another by a simple navigation bar. The navigation bar
allows visitors to quickly and easily navigate between sites.
Rings form a concentration of sites, allowing visitors to easily find a
wealth of information on their topic of interest. Unlike the major directory and
search sites, which use impersonal software to organize their database, each
Ring is created and maintained by an individual web site owner called the
RingMaster. RingMasters are very knowledgeable about the topic of their Ring.
WebRing, therefore, consists of tens of thousands of experts on an extremely
diverse set of interests.
RingMasters determine the content, look and feel of the Ring, approve and
manage member Sites, and encourage other web sites to join. RingMasters help to
develop virtual communities based on the Ring topic."
